JAY Z Signs a 10-Year Touring Deal With Live Nation

Those headlining stints at Made In America, Austin City Limits, and The Meadows Music and Arts Festival? Well there’s a whole lot more where that came from as JAY Z has officially re-upped on his touring deal with Live Nation.

A continuation of sorts to the 10-year, $150 million USD deal the two agreed on back in 2008 (which most recently saw Jay hit the road alongside Beyoncé for 2014′s joint ‘On The Run’ Tour), the new deal once again covers the next decade. Whereas the original deal was one of the 360 variety and covered touring, albums, publishing and other assets along with the birth of Roc Nation, the new deal is strictly touring-related. Said Hov in a statement:

Live Nation and I entered unchartered territory in 2008. Over nine years, we have traveled the world producing historic music experiences. Michael Rapino is an industry visionary, and this renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape.

Though the financial specifics of the deal were not disclosed, it is said to be worth $200 million USD.

Given the deal, it seems all but a given that JAY Z will be hitting the stage on a bevy of occasions in the years ahead — and hopefully dropping some new music, too.
