According to Yahoo Sports and its “a well-placed source,” Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have finalized the terms of their blockbuster, cross-sports bout: they will square up on August 26 in Las Vegas. The report goes on to state:
Terms of the deal were not available, but it will either be at the MGM Grand Garden or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Nevada Athletic Commission on Wednesday approved the request from Mayweather Promotions to put on a boxing card on Aug. 26 at the MGM Grand. The venue could change, however, to T-Mobile.
Although Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe, UFC President Dana White, or Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza have yet to comment on the news, McGregor took to his IG to savagely tell us “THE FIGHT IS ON,” while Floyd took a more professional approach.
