After surfacing at the likes of Solebox and Union Los Angeles, NikeLab and UNDERCOVER’s unique SFB Jungle Dunk has officially been unveiled. As the Swoosh notes, “Jun Takahashi has had a central role in transformative Japanese design, rebelling against contemporary trends by combining his unmistakable aesthetic with unexpected references and tongue-in-cheek humor.” And the SFB Jungle Dunk is no exception.
Bringing to life Takahashi’s latest footwear idea, the SFB Jungle Dunk combines the likes of the high-top Dunk’s upper with the heel cage of the Air Huarache and the tooling and outsole of the SFB Jungle Boot to create a winter-ready design that merges the features of each silhouette with the designer’s own aesthetic. Each pair even comes embellished with “CHAOS” and “BALANCE” branding across the left and right Huarache straps while the triangular pattern that decorates the side walls ties the shoe back in to Takahashi and Nike’s collaborative GYAKUSOU ranges.
Executed in two different colorways and complete with tumbled leather construction, water-resistant toes and Magwire lacing, the SFB Jungle Dunk is set to hit NikeLab spots and nike.com/nikelab come January 28.
